Article 13 – Location and Requirements for the Admission Test

The admission test will be administered at the facilities of the LHHCEB José Figueres Ferrer. Students must attend wearing the uniform of the primary school where they are currently enrolled in sixth grade and must present an official identification document (minor’s ID card, passport, or student ID).

The test will be administered by teaching staff designated as test supervisors, under the direction of the school principal. Additionally, the presence of HHC lawyers or notaries may be considered to formally certify the process.

The test may be administered in person or virtually, depending on the circumstances. The school administration reserves the right to make any necessary decisions regarding the test’s format and scheduling.

According to Article 12, the admission test accounts for 100% of the final admission score.

  • The test consists of 60 multiple-choice questions:

    • 30 questions in Spanish

    • 30 questions in Mathematics

Each question has four answer choices, with only one correct option.

The test is developed by an institutional committee of subject specialists in Spanish and Mathematics, selected and supervised by the school administration.

⚠️ The admission test is exclusive institutional material and cannot be shared externally.

Only students who present a valid justification (medical or official document) will be considered for a rescheduled date.

Article 16 – The number of students admitted to enter seventh grade will be determined by the Institution, based on its facility capacity to maintain the quality of the educational service provided, and strictly in accordance with the final cutoff score of each applicant's admission test results.

The right to admission is confirmed only by completing the pre-enrollment and enrollment processes within the dates established by the Institution. If this procedure is not carried out, the right to admission will be forfeited.

Article 19° - The Liceo HHC Experimental Bilingüe José Figueres Ferrer reserves the ultimate right to deny admission to a student for seventh grade if the student did not pass the conduct grade during any grading period or the final average in fourth, fifth, or sixth grade of Basic General Education. A certificate from the previous school showing the conduct grades must be provided. This certificate must be issued no more than fifteen days prior to the pre-enrollment process.
